WASHINGTON — The Washington Post is facing massive decline following an article it published on Tuesday regarding the Diocese of Charlotte. Sources close the Post say that the article was so poorly written, that readers immediately began to cancel their subscription en masse.
Susan Jones, an ardent fan of the Post was not impressed in what she deemed to be “partisan garbage.” Jones told The Roman Caller that the logic just didn’t follow. “Look, I hate Trump as much as the next WaPo reader, but that doesn’t mean that I have to hate Latin and altar rails too.” Jones’ friend and water aerobics partner Denise Strottenham agrees, “Have you ever heard Trump speak Latin? I feel like WaPo has really jumped the shark.” Strottenham then proceeded to do an impression of Trump speaking Latin.
The Post reportedly laid off 400 people on Wednesday in response to the financial backlash of the article. An individual from the 400 laid off told the Caller, “I think the Post saw the money that the Pillar was raking in, and wanted a piece of the pie.”
When The Roman Caller reached out to Editor-in-Chief of The Pillar, JD Flynn, he simply responded, “Don’t bring a knife to a gun fight.” He did not provide further clarification on what he meant by this statement.
