Study: Exodus 90 is Source of 90% of all spam Emails

WORLD — A recent study conducted out of Baylor University found that Exodus 90, a popular Catholic penance program, sends out 90% of spam emails on the internet.

The study found that Exodus 90 has its participants sign up for an account during the program, and regularly sends them reminders, but then also sends daily advertisements and newsletters after the program has ended.

“I can’t take it anymore!” said Christopher Packer, a former participant in Exodus 90, “I did Exodus 90 in 2023, and they won’t get out of my inbox. I got an email about taking a cold shower during Christmas! Get out of my email already!”

The head of Baylor’s School of Technology, Prof. Raymond Onsted said that he “took a large sample size of spam received by people daily: fake verification codes, hot singles in your area, supposed “lost” packages, Nigerian prince scams—none of it compared to the amount of mail sent by Exodus 90.”

Exodus 90 did not comment on this story, but did send us an email advertising its services in preparation for Pentecost.
