LOCAL — Okay, I’m going to need some help with this one. I found this Rosary in the church parking lot a couple of months ago, and I don’t know what to do. I’ve gone to the office several times asking if anyone has come in looking for it and the lady at the front desk insists that no one has. But I don’t know.
Like, if I held on to it, is that stealing? I mean, finders keepers, right? And sure, if I were the one to lose the rosary, and I didn’t go looking for it, I would expect someone to take it. This rosary isn’t even really that nice. It’s missing a bead in the third decade. It’s made of rope.
Oh, but it also has these nice wood beads and.. ah yes I’m just seeing this now it has “Jerusalem” written on the back. The person must have bought it when that vendor came from the Holy Land a few months ago. They put a nice oil on it with balsam. Yup, I can smell that.
I mean, assuming it’s not your, right? Haha. That would be funny if you, the reader were the owner. But then, how would I know? You could just be lying to take away my rosary.
Okay, so it’s not my rosary, but you get what I’m saying. If you just claimed the thing without having actually owned it, that would be bad. And then, what if the actual owner came around and you had already taken off with it? What then?
So, I guess I’m just going to hang onto it for now. If someone does come to the office looking for, I’d be happy to hand it back, but for now, it’s mine.
