Cardinal Reinhard Marx of Munich and Freising is reportedly trying his hand at robotics in the creation of his new humanoid android, the “T-800.” This comes on the heels of Marx decrying the German Synodal Way on Saturday, after its proposal to “monitor bishops.”
“I cannot believe that the Synod that I created would turn on me in this way,” said Marx as he tightened another bolt in the T-800, “I hope that working on this little pet project will help get my mind off of these crazy Church politics!”
When we asked Marx about his goal with the robot, Marx claimed that beyond just being a pet project, he hoped that it might help him with common household chores. “The robotics are actually quite advanced. Admittedly, I found the arm that I used to begin the project outside an old German foundry. It really cheered me up!” Marx claims that he found the arm walking back to his hotel room in Stuttgart after tensions flared on the floor of the Synod.
“At the end of the day, I think I’m done with synodality. I just want to focus on projects that will make my life, and all of humanity’s life better.”
The T-800 is currently nearing completion, and at press time, has just been powered on by the Cardinal.
