Bishop Martin Releases sequel Video Outlining the “Crazy Stuff”

CHARLOTTE — Bishop Michael T. Martin of Charlotte, NC released yet another password-protected video this week outlining the “crazy stuff” not mentioned in the previous video. Links to the video were disseminated to the priests of the diocese this week via email.

In his email, Martin expressed “gratitude for the efforts of your staff members in broadcasting the video I sent last week,” while also acknowledging that he “knows that the priests and laity were expecting something a bit more juicy.” Martin continued, “That’s why this week’s video will contain the crazy stuff that will really get people riled up.” Martin did not further elaborate on the contents of the video.

Martin’s original video, which was broadcast at Masses through the Valentine’s Day weekend, contained what many on X (formerly Twitter) as a “nothing burger” and “series of banal platitudes.” Apparently Martin aims to remedy these criticisms in the coming weekend’s video.

“It could be anything,” said prominent Catholic influencer Anthony Abbate, “Maybe it’s a ban on candles, or maybe it’s a prohibition on prohibitions on altar girls.” The Pillar editor-in-chief JD Flynn told The Roman Caller this week that he’s been refreshing the Charlotte Diocese Youtube Channel multiple times a day in anticipation of this next “drop.”

The Roman Caller will continue to monitor this story.
